Called to Serve
Called to Serve

Matthew 20:20-28
Christians are identified by a variety of names in the Bible—such as believers, brothers, and saints—but one title we seldom call ourselves is “servants of Christ.” However, that is exactly what the Lord tells us to be. After His disciples wrangled about who was the greatest, Jesus turned their worldly thinking upside down with a call to become great in the kingdom by being a servant of all.
Christ is not just our Savior but also our Lord and Master, and we are to follow His example. Just as He served His Father by caring for people, so we serve our God by lovingly meeting the temporal and spiritual needs of those around us.
Service is essential for spiritual growth. God is always at work in the believer’s life, transforming his character into the image of Christ (Rom. 8:29). A major hindrance in this process is self-centeredness. Serving others is one of the tools that the Lord uses to set us free from the slavery of selfishness.
Service is required to achieve God’s purpose for our lives. The Lord has designed specific works for each of us to accomplish in our lifetime (Eph. 2:10). If we only take in and never give out, we will miss much of what He has planned for us.
Never forget that you have a high calling, which is realized only by lowering yourself to the level of a servant. Look for the opportunities that the Lord will give you today to serve someone. Take your place alongside Christ, who was the ultimate servant of all.

Blessed with another year of Glorious Life
Well another birthday rolled around
Blessed to say God gave me one more birthday despite of my bad habits and not always exercising like I should.
I am blessed beyond belief that He chooses to Live through me. I pray that through the next year of my life I can grow closer to him, read more of His Word, and pray more and lead more people to Him through my life. I want others to see Jesus in me and wsnt them to want to know him too because of something I may say or do that can point them to Him.
He is my only source of strength and I am nothing without Him.

Ahh....Saturdays....
Love weekends! Although I will be working tomorrow evening full shift, I have enjoyed today off. Enjoyed coffee time with my hubby and then he had to leave to go to work, working all weekend 12 hour day shifts, and I miss him! I went to get groceries after a stop by Sonic for my Route 44 Raspberry Tea! Then back home to digi scrap and hang out with the furson, Bear. Watched DVD Season set of Third Rock From the Sun TV Series. Love that show! They totally crack me up!! LOL.

I have officially declared Christmas over at our home. The Christmas tree has been taken down and put away , much to hubby's displeasure and protesting. If he had his way it would stay up all year!
We got snow overnight, not near as much as they predicted, but still yet, it is snow and enough for me to grab a camera, oh wait, no need to grab it is constantly attached to my body, usually iphone camera tucked away in its holder, my bra! LOL
So, nothing doin that I was out soon as I seen snowflakes falling through the air, I got out in housecoat and gown and houseshoes, (DON'T JUDGE ME! :)) and a dark coat so the snowflakes would have a nice dark backdrop for their shots and out the door I go with iphone in hand with Olloclip attached.
I never dreamed my hands would be steady enough to get these very cool shots. I don't claim to be a professional so again, no judging please!! LOL. But I was happy that they came out this cool!!!

Snow!
With snow flying through the air, After drinking my Pumpkin
Spice Flavored Creamer with coffee (as my hubby Jerry so affectionately describes my "coffee"!). After carefully choosing a dark colored coat for the perfect backdrop for my snowflakes I wasted no time grabbing my iphone and Olloclip to see if I could capture some unique individual snowflakes and
boy was I so happy to get these!!! God is so awesome!! He makes the neatest things doesn't he? I praise Him for my life and the love He gives me and the everyday mercy and grace He bestows upon me that I would never ever deserve.
I am so BBB!! BLESSED BEYOND BELIEF!!!
